God
God is One [34], He is Spirit [35], He is Eternal [36], He is Omniscient [37], Omnipresent [38], Omnipotent [39] and Supreme [40]. He is Holy [41], Faithful [42], Righteous [43], Merciful [44] and Love [45]. He is the Creator of all things [46], the seen and the unseen including the angels [47]. Some of them kept obeying God [48]. Satan and the devils are separated from God and have fallen into perdition through disobedience [49]. Satan is the ruler of this world [50]. Nevertheless God governs and rules everything [51]. He is the only wise God [52]. God possesses in Himself and by Himself all the glory and all created beings owe Him adoration, service and obedience [53].
There are three equal persons in the divine unity that are distinct, issued from a one and sole substance, power and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit [54].
The Father has not been begotten by anyone and hasn’t come from anyone [55]. The Son has been eternally begotten by the Father [56]. The Holy Spirit has come eternally from the Father [57] and from the Son [58].
We confess:
- The Father, first cause or principle, origin of all things [59]. The Son and the Holy Spirit, submitted to Him [60]. He is the Father of believers [61], our prayers are turned to Him [62].
- The Son, His word [63] and His eternal wisdom [64]. The Son has been eternally begotten by the Father and has not been created [65]. Conceived by the Holy Spirit [66], born of the Virgin Mary [67], He is perfect with a divine nature [68] and with a human nature [69]; He is genuinely God [70] and genuinely man [71], without any confusion, transformation, division, or any separation in His two natures [72]. He is the sole mediator between God and men [73]; He died and has risen from the dead for our salvation [74]. He is, as Lord, at the right-hand side of God the Father [75], He is the Head of the Church which is His body [76]. He will come back for the rapture of the church [77], for the final judgement [78] and restoration of God’s kingdom [79];
- The Holy Spirit, His force, His efficient Might [80]. Third person of the Holy Trinity [81], He gives inspiration for the word of God [82], He reveals the Son to us [83], convicts us of sin [84], brings about salvation to men [85], dwells in each believer to make him God’s temple [86], leads us to the whole truth [87]. He is the Comforter [88], fills us with power to be witnesses [89], grants us gifts [90] and works out miracles [91].
