The fate of men after their death
Man has no power over his breath [441]. He has no right to shorten his life [442] or others’ lives [443]. Due to sin [444], people are destined to die once, after that they face judgement [445]. The body returns to dust [446]. The soul which is everlasting [447], returns to God [448], either for life, or for death.
Unlike the godless [449], the believer who dies in the Lord triumphs over death [450]. He doesn’t long for death but hopes in eternal life [451]. Full of confidence [452], he would prefer to be away from this body and at home with the Lord [453].
The regenerated believer meets Jesus in paradise [454]. With his deeds, he knows happiness and rest [455], expecting immortality [456], adoption and redemption of the body [457].
At the first resurrection [458], the body of the righteous will be raised imperishable, full of power and spiritual [459]. It will be transformed like the glorious body of Christ [460] and will be clothed with immortality [461].

Being conscious, it keeps in memory the past and experiences useless remorse [464]. It is expecting with terror the last judgement [465] which will throw it, as a raised body [466] into a place of torment called eternal Punishment [467] where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth [468], destruction [469] and everlasting burning [470], burning sulphur [471], blazing furnace [472] unquenchable fire [473] where the worm will not die [474] …
