Timothée Accueil Jeunesse

The Welcome, the Holiday camps, and the Youth camps.

In 2006, the Mission Timothy association separated its activities by grouping together on the one hand Church and worship, and on the other hand social work. The former 1901 association claimed the new name of “Timothée Accueil Jeunesse“, and created within itself a 1905 Mission Timothy association.

Timothée acceuil jeunesse offers:

  • hospitality in a center at Anduze in the Gard region that accommodates distressed people such as vagrants, addicts and people in moral and material need. The people accommodated are supervised 24 hours a day by staff members and they are invited to take part in the daily practical activities of the Mission such as maintenance of buildings, gardening etc. Two doctors work in partnership to guarantee a personalized medical follow-up. Assistance is also offered for their rehabilitation back in to mainstream society. Family camps are also organized.
  • youth activities: outings, camps and summer camps.
  • when necessary, material help and assistance for any people in trouble.
  • in some of its premises, the opportunity to gain knowledge of Protestantism and other religions, such as history, ethics, theology etc, by means of books or any other related materials available from the publishers. All the materials are available in our own bookshops.

The 1901 association has been recognized by the government as of “intêret general” since April 2007. It co-operates regularly with the Town Council of Anduze, the Police, and the prison service. On several occasions, people released on parole or leaving prisons have been welcomed into the mission.

A description of the various activities of the Mission Timothée, of the association Timothée Accueil Jeunesse, and of the “Librairie Jean Calvin” bookshop. This brochure is available here for download. In french.

In 1972, the Mission Timothée, an independent Protestant organization committed to the service of churches, sets up a reception center with multiple vocation.

In the purest Protestant tradition, the Jean Calvin bookshop is firmly committed to the service of the Church and of the faith which has stemmed from the Reformation. In order to assist in promoting the spiritual as well as the cultural richness of this heritage, we provide a substantial stock of books, the center of which is of course the Bible.

L’association Timothée Accueil et Jeunesse organise des camps et colonies en Auvergne et en Cévennes durant tout l’été.
