Bookshop
In the purest Protestant tradition, the Jean Calvin bookshop is firmly committed to the service of the Church and of the faith which has stemmed from the Reformation. In order to assist in promoting the spiritual as well as the cultural richness of this heritage, we provide a substantial stock of books, the center of which is of course the Bible.
The field of study is divided into three areas:
- History and culture of Protestantism
- Biblical theology and culture
- Ethics and philosophy.
The bookshop being historically a privileged place for transmission and critical examination, we hope to set up a living area where convictions can be expressed quite freely and respectfully. Along these lines, discussions are organized around a book or a personality: they are called “bookside chat evenings”. There are also lecture series on the history of Protestantism.
